HB10 dampers are provided with slotted corners for easy installation. Specify for slip in or retrofit dampers so that frames are left blank. HB10 dampers are suitable for use with ductmate or metu angles as the blades are housed entirely within the surround. The dampers suitable for use in all applications including internally insulated ductwork.
Dampers can be installed either vertically or horizontally. Specify airflow where critical motor mounting positions occur. Motor drives can be left or right. If the motor drive is internal ensure that push/pull connectors (by others) are fitted to the drive blade only.
Installation Notes
Blades are contained within the frame with only the leading edge of the blade seal exposed at the fully open position. However, care should be taken to ensure that the damper is fitted square with no undue pressure being exerted from duct mating frames that may cause the damper to distort. Check diagonal dimensions are the same before and after installation. Fit damper in correct direction, using arrow on damper frame, to ensure correct working of seals. Ensure that when motors are fitted, they are properly supported, that no undue stress is placed on the motor drive shaft and that motors do not overdrive either fully open or closed.
N.B. maximum 3m2 damper face area per actuator.
Options available on HB10 control dampers
HB10/16: Manual operation C/W quadrant arm set. Motorised operation C/W ½” hexagonal drive shaft and EPDM rubber blade seals and venetian side seals.
HB10/16S: Motorised operation C/W ½” hexagonal drive shaft and high temperature silicone rubber blade seals, high temperature synthetic bearings and venetian side seals. Suitable for temperatutres up to 200C. Opposed blade and parallel blade operation available all models. Optional alternatives on bearings include ball/roller and bronze (available on special request). Comply with AS1682 part1 - 1990.
HA10: Airfoil blade damper C/W quadrant arm or ½” hexagonal motor drive shaft for manual or motorized control, respectively C/W blade tip seals and venetian side seals. For use when building acoustic requirements become critical.
